Pine Siskin

Carduelis pinus  L 5" (13 cm)

Prominant yellow streaking at base of tail and in flight feathers. Thinner bill than other finches. Call: Includes a rising tee-ee and, a harsh decending chee while in flight. Range: Found in coniferous and mixed woods in summer. May flock with goldfinches in winter.
